Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated 3 September 2026
This policy applies to everyone using an elHosting service, including anyone you allow to use it. It exists to protect our customers, our infrastructure and other networks, and to give us a clear basis for responding to abuse.
What you must not do
You must not use an elHosting service to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it.
- Store or distribute child sexual abuse material. We may suspend or terminate the service immediately and report the matter to the appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.
- Send unsolicited bulk email, or provide any part of the infrastructure for someone else who does.
- Attack or probe systems without authorisation. That includes denial-of-service traffic, unauthorised port scanning, brute-forcing credentials, and attempting to access systems you have no permission to access.
- Distribute malware, run phishing pages, or operate command-and-control infrastructure for compromised machines.
- Infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights.
- Consume resources in a way that materially degrades the service for other customers on the same hardware.
- Use the service to mine or farm cryptocurrency.
- Interfere with our infrastructure, or attempt to gain access to parts of it that are not yours.
Peer-to-peer traffic
Peer-to-peer protocols are not inherently prohibited by this policy — a great deal of legitimate software is distributed that way. You must still have the right to distribute or obtain whatever you transfer, which is a question of the material rather than the protocol. Individual services may carry network or product-specific restrictions, which will be shown when you order them.
How we respond to abuse
We do not routinely inspect or screen the contents of customer servers. We may investigate when we receive an abuse report, when an infrastructure provider reports a problem, or when there is other evidence that a service is being used in breach of this policy.
You are responsible for activity originating from your service, including use by people you authorise and activity resulting from a compromised account or service.
What happens if you break this policy
Depending on what has happened and how urgent it is, we may contact you and ask you to fix it, suspend the service, or terminate it. We will normally try to contact you first where the problem can safely wait, because most of them are accidents — a compromised machine, a misconfigured script, an open relay. Where the harm is serious, urgent or ongoing we may act immediately.
Reporting abuse
If something on our network is causing you a problem, write to contact@elhosting.com with enough detail to identify it — IP address, timestamps with a timezone, and log lines where you have them. We would rather hear from you directly than from your upstream.
Changes
MSAHA LTD may update this policy as the service changes or as new kinds of abuse appear. The date at the top shows when it last changed materially.
